Yikes.

We’re not starting a cult but some followers on Instagram would be nice. Thank you.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery.

But fans of K-pop group BTS doesn’t seem to think that way.

On Feb. 11, a BTS fan claimed that the music video concept for a Bangladeshi single titled Harai Bohudur by singers Tahsan Khan and Shushmita Anis “fully copied” BTS member RM’s Wild Flower.

The music video for Wild Flower was uploaded in December 2022, while Harai Bohudur was recently uploaded in February 2023.

Here are some choice screenshots:

Suffice to say, ARMYs (what BTS fans are called) didn’t take too kindly to the music video’s likeness.

They also left comments on the music video, demanding the artistes to give credit where credit is due.

Added credits but…

After receiving thousands of comments, the YouTube channel limited the comment section and added a line to the description: “**Concept inspiration from RM Wildflower BTS**”

This angered the fans further as the channel got the song title wrong.

(It’s Wild Flower, by the way, and not Wildfire.)

Eventually, the channel made the video private:

Production house apologises

A newly edited video was later uploaded on Feb. 15, with similar scenes removed.

Its description said that the artistes involved had no knowledge or involvement in the video production, adding that the production house, Flybot Studio, are taking “full responsibility” for it.

“They apologised of (sic) their choice of shots that offended certain group of fans. For this reason, the video has been re-edited and re-uploaded.”
